Claiming the title of mother is an honor, but being a mother is not a life sentence that defines individuals.

Women are so much more than mothers. Our personal goals don’t just disappear the second we have children.

Having kids is one of my greatest and most cherished accomplishments. That does not mean I, or any other mother, can’t continue to work towards goals.

I often used to refer to myself as “just” a stay-at-home mom, “just” working a desk job, “just” a veteran.

We are so much more than “just” and only we can allow others to see us that way.

I am the mother of two young boys.

I am a working mom.

I served in the Marine Corps for five years.

Join me on this glorious journey of, not just motherhood, life.

I certainly do not have it all figured out but I would like to use this platform to share my struggles and hopefully resonate with other mothers while offering support that I myself sometimes desperately need.
